Conveyor

Conveyor

The conveyor is intended mainly to transport the cut scrap from the hydraulic shear within the range of angular deflection ±45°. Dispatching of bales up to the weight of 1200 kg is possible only in the straight direction. The cut scrap comes out along the elongated chute in the column of the shear to the bottom of the vibrating feeder (1) from the material HARDOX400, hence it moves over to the moving robber band of the conveyor (2) with transverse ribs carrying the piece of scrap.

Description

Mechanization Equipment and Dispatching Conveyors

The conveyor is intended mainly to transport the cut scrap from the hydraulic shear within the range of angular deflection ±45°. Dispatching of bales up to the weight of 1200 kg is possible only in the straight direction. The cut scrap comes out along the elongated chute in the column of the shear to the bottom of the vibrating feeder (1) from the material HARDOX400, hence it moves over to the moving robber band of the conveyor (2) with transverse ribs carrying the piece of scrap. The transverse ribs prevent the scrap from falling back and improve carrying of scrap during forward movement 20° angle wise. ln the upper part of the conveyor the drive of the band (3), where the brake electric motor drives the driving drum of the band by means of the gearbox and the power transmission chain. The travel (4) ensures rotation of the conveyor using the brake electric motor along the circular path in the maximum range of ±45°. When moving the ball from the vibrating feeder to the conveyor band (during transport of maximum lengths of bales), the band can increasingly wear off. It is necessary to monitor this situation permanently and if there are any difficulties when moving the bale from the vibrating feeder to the band, stop movement of the band and forward the bale by means of a grab if necessary.

Advantages of the conveyor:

  • Ability of the conveyor to dispatch a large number of the sheared scrap, up to 45 ton/hour
  • Possibility to transport the scrap either to the scrap-yard or directly into the carriage
  • Possibility to transport including the baled scrap up to the bale weight of 1200 kg
  • Simple base
